I'm not certain what the expected behaviour is, so feel free to close if this was intentional.
It looked like #8002 should have made HDF5_jll.jl@v1.14.3+1 compatible with OpenMPI_jll.jl@v5, but I can't use both at the same time.
Checking the General registry here, it looks like Compat.toml wasn't updated.
