Use canonical URL to generate hreflang alternates

Describe the feature

When a page has tracking parameters or other non-canonical url parts, the hreflang-alternate URLs include them. Since this is a SEO feature, I'd like the alternates to only include canonical URLs.
I'd like a way to customize how the URLs are generated, or simply to use canonical URLs.
