I am a self-taught Artificial Intelligence Engineer with a formal academic background in Electronics Design, with a Masters Degree in VLSI and Embedded Systems. After working for 4+ years in the field of Electronics Design as a Hardware Design Engineer, Verification Engineer and Product Researcher, I made a career switch to the field of Artificial Intelligence in March 2021. I have got 3 years of experience working as a Deep Learning Engineer in India with focus on Computer Vision. At present, I'm building expertise in other areas of Artificial Intelligence such as NLP (Natural Language Processing), Generative AI, LLMs (Large Language Models), Multimodal AI and AI Agents.
Since I don't have a formal Computer Science background, I know that I have a lot to learn. I have to make a solid foundation in Computer Science in general and Artificial Intelligence in particular.
Under the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, I'm currently focusing on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, Multimodal AI and AI Agents. In the future, I want to focus on Edge AI & TinyML, Deep Learning for Audio, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Self Supervised Learning, Autonomous & Cognitive Robotics etc.
Under the Foundations of Computer Science, I'm currently focusing on Data Structures & Algorithms, Low Level Design, Design Patterns and High Level Design. After building a strong foundation in the above areas, I want to focus on more advanced areas like Game Theory, Automated Planning etc. I also want to learn more Programming Languages like Java, TypeScript, Rust, Haskell, Mojo etc.
In the future, I also want to focus on Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning.
My professional end goal is to conduct Original Research in the field of Artificial General Intelligence (particularly in the area of Decision Intelligence) and to create AGI Systems that are capable of making ethical decisions for the betterment of humanity.
