European Food Safety Authority

The EFSA catalogue browser communicates directly with the Data Collection Framework (DCF) in order to be able to download and provide the last catalogues officially released by EFSA. It is possible to login in the tool using DCF credentials (only if EFSA provides you the credentials) or using the token provided in the OpenAPI portal (for all users not provided with a DCF account).

Login using DCF credentials

It is possible to login in the application using a valid DCF account by clicking on the 'Login' drop-down button (situated on the main menu) and then click on the 'Log in with DCF option'. Insert your username and password and then click on the 'Log in' button.

Please note that for this process it is required an Internet connection.

For further information on how to login in the EFSA's Catalogue browser using the provided DCF credentials refer to the Official Guideline.

Login using OpenAPI token

If you do not possess a DCF account, it is still possible to benefit of the various application functions by using the login with the OpenAPI token. This new feature, introduced with version 1.2.6 of the EFSA Catalogue browser, allows any user to download and then consult all the list of catalogues available in the Data Collection Framework. For being able to login using the OpenAPI token, the user needs to sign up for an account on the OpenAPI portal.

From the main page click on the "products" button.

In the field "your subscription" it is possible to find the two tokens that can be used to login ("primary key" and "secondary key"). Click on the "show" link in order to unlock the respective token and then copy and paste it in the Catalogue browser.

Please, note that each user is allowed a limited number of calls (depending on the subscription requested). If this number is exceeded, the user will be required to wait for a certain time (which will be notified in the application) before allowed to use the service again.
